About Central Library: House of Wisdom
Library is the heart of any academic institution as it the main source of collection, compilation and Dissemination of information to the society. The Libraries Promote intellectual growth and creativity by developing collections, facilitating access to information resources, teaching the effective use of information resources and critical evaluation skills and offering research assistance. The aim of SGVU`s Central Library is to collect and compile new Knowledge through acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge resources and providing value added services to the community of the university as well as to the society. Suresh Gyan Vihar University believes that library is the Heart line of any academic institution, because, it is the main source of transformation and Sharing of information to the society, because universities and libraries both are aimed to enrich the knowledge level of societies and working for the mankind. Therefore, the vision of the library is same as the vision of university. The title of Central Library is the “House of Wisdom”.
The built-up area of House wisdom is 1.5 Lac. Sq. feet which in more than sufficient. All floors have been designed systematically so, university`s Library in an example of one of the beautiful architecture at International Level. Also elevators and lift are available for reaching to upper floors.

Unique Features
Building architecture ’University Library’’ is an example of one of the unmatched architecture at international level. A beautiful designed’ reception area’, where our library staff is always ready to helps bibliophiles in searching information for users. Unique Collection Development & Management ‘Rare to Rare & Latest to Latest collection available at the time ‘Right User, Right Time and Right way’. Users & Books are the treasure of the society, therefore, whole library is monitored by ‘Surveillance System’ with the use of 32 CCTV cameras placed at different locations of the library. Beautifully designed “BODHSHALA” (Reading Rooms) inaugurated by Padam Vibhushan Hon’ble Dr. R. A. Mashelkar on October 8, 2016.Two IT enabled “BODHSHALAS” are available at each floor where readers/Users can easily search book or study material from Stack Areas (Printed & Non – Printed) of his/her own choice through computing technologies and internet. In each BODHSHALA 50 readers/users can sit together at a time. Separate section for ‘Gifted, Donated, Rare, Literature, Braille books & Literature also. Escalator facility available for differently abled (Divyang) readers for all floors. Ramp is available to reach the library. Lift facility is available for all floors. Library Management System and Collection Arrangement from KOHA 20.05.07. & DDC 22nd edition. The entire Library building is fully on LAN and Wi Fi enabled.
